School of Law professor Noah Feldman will discuss and sign copies of his new book, 'What We Owe Iraq: War and the Ethics of Nation Building,' tonight at Vanderbilt Hall.
In the book, Feldman writes about the insight he gained into the power dynamics between the American forces and the Iraqis during his stint as an adviser to the Iraqi constitutional process. He argues that U.S. forces must stay in Iraq so that democracy can take root there, but that the U.S.-led coalition should not pre-suppose its own expertise in nation building in the volatile region.
The event, sponsored by the Center for Law and Security, takes place tonight at 6:30 p.m. in the Greenberg Lounge at Vanderbilt Hall. For more information, call 212.992.8854.
