WSN's reach keeps students, faculty and alumni current with university happenings during the school year and throughout the summer. With more than 100 newsstands throughout Manhattan, the WSN can be found in residence halls, undergraduate, graduate and professional school academic buildings. WSN is available in other campus locations as well, including administrative buildings, the NYU medical facilities, Coles Sports Center and the Kimmel Student Center.
As the only daily news publication for NYU, Washington Square News effectively reaches the very specific and powerful college market. With a circulation of 10,000 and a readership of 25,000 (2.5 per paper) no other publication keeps the students informed while offering advertisers the same ability to directly target the NYU community.

Artwork Requirements
***All ad material must be received three business days prior to run date by 5:00 pm. Any ad requiring graphic design services must be received five Business days prior to run date by 5:00 pm.***
o WSN recommends that all artwork be sent as an electronic file. Files can be sent to washingtonsquarenews@gmail.com
o Acceptable file formats are:
.EPS files created in PhotoShop, or Illustrator. All screen and printer fonts must be included. Ads should be accompanied by a proof.
.PDF format files. All fonts must be embedded, nothing in the ad can be in RGB color format and the file must be built with the correct size ad.
o WSN cannot accept any electronic artwork saved in a native format.
o Black and white artwork should be saved as GRAYSCALE.
o Four-color artwork should be saved as CMYK (not RGB). Color ads must be sent as PDFs.
o Artwork should be sent on a ZIP-DISK or CD-ROM or via the WSN email address at washingtonsquarenews@gmail.com. WSN does not accept artwork via fax.
o Ad size adjustment and design services are available for a small fee.
o Quality of reproduction decreases when artwork is scanned or resized.
o WSN cannot guarantee quality of reproduction if specifications are not met.
o WSN recommends all ads have a border enclosing the purchased area. The production department will not enclose ads submitted without borders.
o Ads smaller than the purchased space will be “floated” without a border.
