An NYU group will host an anti-war rally today, protesting the fourth anniversary of the Iraq invasion.

The NYU chapter of the Campus Antiwar Network hopes to show students' disapproval of the current presidential administration with a student walkout in Washington Square Park from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Nicknamed "Red Tuesday," organizers have asked students to dress in all red to signify "the human toll of war," according to the Red Tuesday NYC website. An aerial photograph of the protest will be taken from the eighth floor of the Kimmel Center in an attempt to visually emphasize the war's human toll.

Tisch sophomore Andrew White said a student walkout will instill a sense of activism in NYU students.

"I feel that a lot of people disagree with the war, but don't make their voice heard," White said. "We are dealing with the violation of basic human rights and we're not doing anything to stop it. One person is not enough, but if we come together we can make a difference."

The walkout will also feature a live band performance from the New York City band, The Fine Lines.
