The NYU men's volleyball team plays Penn State University tonight in the EIVA/NCAA East Regional Tournament semifinals, beginning at 7:30 p.m. in University Park, Pa. The eighth-seeded Violets (23-7), who have already prevailed over the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds in this year's tournament, are going for arguably the biggest win in the history of the program.

Penn State (26-1), ranked No. 1 in the country in the latest CSTV/AVCA Division I/II coaches poll, has won the last nine EIVA Tournament championships. NYU is 7-4 against Division-I teams this season, including a sweep of St. Francis College in last weekend's quarterfinal match.
